We recently made a change in the Webmail interface to help further the support of HTML use within email which causes the double space when pressing the enter key. There are two ways to prevent this. IF you want only one space when pressing enter, either click the plain text view button at the top or press shift+enter. Either of the two of these options will work. When selecting plain text view, you will lose HTML functionality though.
